Weekly Trail Updates.....
Work progresses all winter long. There are problems that arise from various situations, such as
storms, fallen trees and active logging. Some trails will be closed for repairs and some will be
re-opened. These events and any other information that arises between meetings will be
posted for the benefit of any who visit the web site.
The club does all of its trail grooming with the ASV Track Truck and 2 Yamaha VK sleds. This new
equipment will help us keep all of the club trails nicely groomed.

Moosehead Riders Club reporting:
3/21/08
NEW SNOW, GREAT TRAILS, STILL GROOMING!!! With the new snow late last week and continued
cold conditions, all the trails in the Greenville area are in great shape. The ITS grooming
contractor is grooming a reduced 3 day schedule on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays due to
overwhelming fuel costs. The club is still grooming the club trails on a weekly basis as
needed. With the reduced traffic on all the trails, they are holding up very well with the
huge ice base and fresh snow on top. Off trail riding is awesome in all areas!! Maybe we
will still be riding in May. Wouldn’t that be a kick!!
As long as the weather remains relatively cold and goes below freezing at night, we will be
able to continue to groom. As with all the grooming clubs and contractors, we have spent
more than our entire grant on fuel. Needless to say, a major change is needed next year to
offset the fuel costs or many of the clubs and contractors will not be able to continue to
groom for the entire season.
